Setting up Web Mail on Boku Server

  1. First set up your mail using Outlook Express or Outlook on the Boku server.
  2. Start your browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape) go to http://:webmail.boku.net.  It should look like this:

  1. In the box for “Username” put your E-mail address ie. deisch@boku.net
  2. Enter your password in the box “Password”.
  3. It should look like this but with your information.

  1. Click on the “Login” for login and password use all lower case letters.  There are no Upper case letters used, otherwise you login and password are the same as used for WCTC.
  2. If you entered the information correctly you should get your mail up
  3. If you were Cindy Kiesling the first screen you would see would look like this.

  1. Notice that there is only the “Inbox” for folders.  You may want to set up others like; sent, draft, and activate the trash.  To do this click on the “Folders” at the top of the page.
  2. You will then see something like this.

  1. Click on the box by “Trash” to activate it.
  2. Click on the “Create folder” to create other folders of your choice.
  3. You will see something like this.

  1. I have entered the “Sent” to create that folder.
  2. Click “OK” to create this folder in your webmail.
  3. You will now see this.

  1. Create whatever folders you wish using the same procedure.
  2. Click on “Save changes”
  3. Now click on “Preferences”  you will get something like this.

  1. You will  want to go the “Personal Information”.  In the “Signature” area delete the information there and put what ever you want for your signature.
  1. This should be all you need to do to make your mail work.  As you become familiar with the mail, you may want to look at the other areas and make changes that interest you.  But this will make your mail work for you.
  2. As for addresses you will need to enter them one by one.  There is no nice easy way to get all your addresses in here.  You can block and copy them from your “Outlook Express” Address Book when you are at the computer with that program with addresses
  3. To go to WebMail to: http://webmail.boku.net. Enter your login and password and go.  Be sure to logoff when done.
